How to Connect Your Bike to Your Fitbit

There are three main ways that you can connect your bike to your Fitbit. They are through the Fitbit app, the Fitbit website, or your computer’s Bluetooth.

To connect through the app, open the app and tap the Today tab > your profile picture > Advanced Settings. From there, tap Exercise Shortcuts > Biking > Log Exercise. When you’re done with your ride, tap Save, then Done.

To connect through the website, log in to your account and click the Exercise tile > start logging a new exercise > choose Biking from the list. Fill out your activity details and click Save.

To connect through your computer’s Bluetooth, open the Fitbit Connect app on your computer > Settings tile > Advanced Settings > enable inclusion of Bike in exercise shortcuts list > click Apply when done making changes > force sync by clicking Sync Now in the upper-right corner of the main dashboard screen (Fitbit Connect must remain open throughout entire ride).

After completing the ride and returning home, disable the inclusion of Bike in exercise shortcuts list by following the directions above but selecting disable instead (this will help conserve battery life).
